Braylon Is 5!!!!!

Exactly 1 week later, 7 days later, after my baby Jaydon turns 1 yr. old, my big boy Braylon, turns 5 yrs. old! Here he is w/his BD gifts: dinosaur stuff, train stuff, & $5!!!!!

Every yr. for Braylon's BD we go to a zoo! We really want to try different ones. But we went to the Fort Wayne Zoo in 2009 & loved it! So we wanted to go again with Jaydon. This time we took my mentee, Emma, along with us too!

2 yrs. ago when we went we saw an awesome sea lion show! That is what we were looking forward to this yr.! Well, it was not as great as the other time so it was kind of disappointing to us. But we still enjoyed seeing the cute creatures!

Braylon really wanted his face painted so this is what he had to choose from:

My Lion Boy riding a pony! I was so proud of him...I didn't have to walk around w/him! And afterwards he even petted the pony! That's an improvement too. He's growing up! While we did this, Jaydon napped!

Is it nap time yet???!!!

Nope, it's carousel ride time! Can you tell it's been raining? Look @ my hair!

We entered the world of Africa & they have a chair lift that takes you across the plains so you can observe the animals up high!

Emma took our family picture!

At the Make Your Own Bead Bracelet station Braylon made a bracelet & Emma made a necklace.

Our favorite animals: Ben's is Tiger. Emma's is Owl (@ least she really likes them, she wanted me to take a pic of this owl but not sure if they are her favorite). Braylon's is Lion. Mine is Giraffe (at least my favorite of the animals there).

Emma wanted to push Jaydon.

Still in the African section, we all got to play drums!

This is another thing Braylon remembered from going here 2 yrs. ago...the Little Poof train!

Then we got to ride the real zoo train! Another thing Braylon was looking forward to! Imagine that! This train ride is a little bit longer than the one @ our local zoo, Potawatomi Zoo.

Braylon's still not quite sure about letting a goose peck food out of his hand. But it is so awesome! It's just a quick little peck & it sort of tickles the palm of your hand.

Going down the river in a canoe that automatically follows a trail in the river. All 5 of us are in the same canoe. I love the 3rd picture where Jaydon's hand is holding onto Braylon's shirt!

That was tiring making sure to hold onto Braylon...so Jaydon took another nap!

2 yrs. ago when we were here, Ben, Braylon, & I went inside the goat pen to feed them. As soon as you bought the food & the cup got in your hand, those goats jumped up & on you & scared us! It was not fun! Of course, Braylon remembers that so he did NOT want to go near these goats!

While we fed the goats, Braylon went here instead:

End our busy day @ the gift shop. I can't believe Braylon chooses a snake for his gift! When you shake his tail it "rattles." My parents called him to wish him a happy birthday!

We couldn't believe that when we transferred Jaydon from the stroller to the car that he stayed asleep! Looks like Braylon also got a lollipop from the gift shop!

On our way home, we stopped @ McDonald's for supper!

Oh, Braylon, I can't believe that you are 5 already! 5 yrs. ago you made me a Mommy & I have enjoyed every moment of mommyhood! Thanx for making it easy! I love you & hope you had a wonderful birthday!
