Little Policeman

Tonight Ben felt like Braylon was policing him all evening! :) Let me explain...

Braylon greeted Ben when he got home from work. Ben was holding Braylon & Braylon says "Dad, put your shoes away!"...here's the explanation...

When we enter our house from the garage door, we go straight to the carpet that's by the sliding glass door & take our shoes off there. Awhile ago, I was getting annoyed every day by the end of the day to see around 6 pairs of shoes on that carpet. I finally had it one day & said "New rule! When you come in & take your shoes off, take them straight to the bedroom!" Amazingly Braylon has caught on & is excellent at remembering to do that. His Daddy...not so much...he always has an "excuse"...well they are there for work the next day...or...blah blah blah...I don't care, I still trip over them! So now Braylon, on his own accord, will remind Ben about his shoes! :)

After supper Braylon yells out to Ben "hey, Dad, you forgot to put the stick back in!" Our sliding glass door came w/a stick that's laid in place after it's closed. We are assuming that maybe the lock isn't secure enough by itself so the previous owners used a stick. So we do too. Lately, Ben will forget to put the stick back in place. Braylon must've heard me a couple of times say to Ben "you forgot the stick." Becuz now he reminds Daddy!

And then...Braylon had some videos due back @ the library so all 3 of us went after supper to return them. Ben is driving us back home & Braylon notices he's driving w/one hand & he yells out to Ben "hey, you're suppose to be driving!"

So therefore, we now have a Little Policeman on our hands. Thankfully he's only citing Ben. I wonder what he'll get me for??? :)
